The visor is lined with firm heavy cotton duck material just like on original caps

In the mountains of Italy during WWII the GIs wore this garment to help provide camouflage in either foliage or snowy conditions

The Army produced a special canvas legging for women such as nurses, mechanics, and clerks who worked in the field. The Army specification for these are dated 1942 and we follow them to the letter.
