A good amount of the plating still remains

and there is the expected water stains around the nozzle and wear and staining to the canvas

which after handling other examples was common in the Weimar Republic and allowed the user to get a feel for the real weight of a live grenade

This is attached to a nickel plated alloy handle with a wide crossguard
