Then I turned it the right way up to find this very sober looking, somewhat Frankenstein ian face! Both ways pretty terrific I think, and I like this idea of the drawing holding two aspects at once. Plus what a brilliant thing crayon resist drawing paintings are, with the scraped away black tempera paint lending
