I can't get enough of these old wooden fishing floats or bobbers

handmade paper cover that makes it feel rather as if it might contain the secrets to the universe

Perfectly presented in a birds eye maple frame

to me just completely gorgeous

Silver Moon, Star, and Lauren Wreath, Antique Papier Mache Snuff Box water lily all original to itSilver moon, silver star, and silver laurel wreath surely a lucky little box! A 19th c papier snuff box I believe, well worn, but lovely still perhaps just right for stashing silver dollars, or silver earrings! The black surface appears more like paint than lacquer, and the silver decoration adhered rather than painted on. 2 3 4" in diameter. General wear and a bit of loss around the lip of the bottom half, pretty minor and not visible when closed.
