These pieces represent the basic set issued to all British Infantrymen in WW2 and thereafter onto which can be added a host of other accessories such as wire cutter carrier

Mauser M-1916 WWI Belgian Rifle Bayonet Scabbard 18 Inches Headgear original markingsOriginal Item: Purchased sometime in the 1980's in a Brussels Warehouse Sale we got a carton of what turned out to be Original WWI era all steel Belgian M 1916 Bayonet tubular Scabbards for the long bayonet issued in WW1 with the Mauser 1888 Rifle for use in trench warfare. Each measures 18" overall, these are quite hard to find today. 18" Scabbard only, bayonet (pictured) not included.
