Into the Void, c. 1900 Kodak #3 Photo of Man in Silhouette Tales from the Igloo and made to laid inI am tempted to start a collection titled "the void," into which this c. 1900 Kodak #3 print would perfectly fit, and rather perfectly distill. The void against which this silhouetted man stands reads as pure negative space, with great flame like shape to it that amplifies a sense of drama and makes for a bit of illusionism, too (as if it could be either a vertical opening passage or a horizontally oriented mass extending into the distance like a
