A fine example of a WWI period Model 1870 French Cuirassier Enlisted Troopers Helmet. The helmet is comprised of a steel body with brass fittings, black horsehair tail and red feather plume on the left. The original leather lining is intact, but shows signs of wear from honest use and storage over the decades. The Helmet features a Tall Brass Cimier with the "Medusa head" emblem to the front. Period Black horse mane
