Description

There's so much else going on its not very noticeable

with a number of different versions produced over the years

Seems this is a mixed set

in addition to this curious missing chunk

with a huge pontil on the underside and a fabulously irregular form

Lovely, Perfect Condition Green and Black Carved Stone Book WW2 history There's so much else goingSo many carved marble books to find and love! And such a beauty this one, carved of what I believe is Lapis Lacedaemonius, with black stone for the nicely detailed spine, and at the corners too. Feels very Grand Tour to me. Very pretty. 4 1 4" x 2 3 8" x 3 4". Pretty much perfect condition.
