With padding around the cheek area and under the jaw with foam and thick fleece padding on the nose. This noseband is designed to prevent horses from opening their mouth and crossing their jaw. The rings higher up the face offer a softer action than a traditional grackle as the pressure point sits slightly higher up the face which is also less constrictive to the horse's
