It forms creeping rhizomes carrying small, ovoid pseudobulbs spaced about 2 cm apart, each topped with a single leathery, midgreen leaf. In spring or early summer, it sends out a carrion like pendulous 817 cm inflorescences densely packed with 4050 tiny rosepurple flowers along a thickened
