connecting to a period original leather strap bearing an illegible maker’s mark

with a folding crease and some fatigue evident

Constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms completing in ball finials and with arms joined through the inner quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Bavarian checkered shield, the reverse bearing a central ribbed shield overlaid by an inscription of XXIV DIENST JAHRE (24 SERVICE YEARS),
